Vehicle Wraps

Put your brand on the road.

If your company has vehicles on the road every day, they can do more than get your team from one place to another. Vehicle wraps and graphics can turn cars, vans, trucks and other fleet vehicles into moving advertisements for your business.

GISI - Direct Mail

GISI prints and installs vehicle wraps and graphics for businesses that want to increase awareness while their vehicles are already out in the community. That can mean a full wrap, a partial wrap or something as simple as decals with your logo and contact information. You don’t have to know which one you need before you get started, we will work with you to find the best solution for your vehicle.

What’s the difference between a full wrap, partial wrap and decals?

A full wrap covers most or all of the vehicle and gives you the most room to showcase your brand. It can change the overall color and appearance of the vehicle and create larger, more visible graphics that are easier to identify on the road.

A partial wrap incorporates the vehicle’s existing color into the design. We can work with your brand standards to determine where graphics will have the most impact without covering the entire vehicle.

Decals are a simpler and more budget-conscious option. They can work particularly well for fleets or businesses that want to add logos, contact information or other graphics without investing in a larger wrap.

The right choice depends on what you want the vehicle to accomplish, your budget and how extensively you want to showcase your brand.

Why wrap a company vehicle?

We work with businesses whose service vehicles spend much of the day on the road. Adding graphics gives those vehicles another job: helping people see and recognize the business while they travel through the community. We see wrapped fleet vehicles as a “driving billboard,” with the potential to generate thousands of impressions throughout the day while the vehicle is already being used for business. As an added bonus, the wrap helps protect your vehicle’s paint from UV damage and can be easily removed when needed. More visibility and added protection? That’s a win-win.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

A properly installed wrap typically lasts around five years, although maintenance and conditions can affect its lifespan. Manufacturer guidance for their wrap materials is up to five years with proper care, and some wraps may last longer under the right conditions. That’s one reason installation and maintenance matter.

Our team has received specialized vehicle-wrap installation training and selects materials and tools with longevity in mind. We will work with you to ensure you know best maintenance practices and that your vehicle’s wrap is optimized for longevity.

Will a vehicle wrap damage my paint?

The condition and type of paint matter. We recommend applying wrap materials over intact original equipment manufacturer (OEM) paint. Repainted surfaces, existing chips or other body damage can increase the risk of damage when the wrap is eventually removed.

That’s why we inspect the vehicle before wrapping it rather than simply covering up whatever is underneath. We also will call your attention to any potential issues prior to the project.

How does GISI prepare a vehicle for wrapping?

It starts with a very clean vehicle. The vehicle is washed to remove dirt and grime and then inspected for paint chips or other existing damage that could affect the wrap. After that, we degrease the surface to remove fine particles and oils that could interfere with adhesion.

For full wraps, certain removable vehicle elements, such as taillights or plastic trim, may also be removed during installation when appropriate.

Can windows, bumpers and other parts of the vehicle be wrapped?

Some can. For example, we can use perforated vinyl on certain windows so graphics can appear on the exterior while maintaining visibility from inside. Painted plastic bumpers can sometimes be wrapped, although we do not recommend or guarantee the same adhesion lifespan on those surfaces. Side windows and windshields may also be restricted by state laws.

That’s another reason the vehicle itself matters when planning a wrap. Our team can determine which surfaces make sense to include before the design is finalized.

What if my logo or phone number changes later

You may not need an entirely new wrap. We can often print and install graphic overlays to update information such as a logo or phone number without replacing the complete design. This can be particularly useful for businesses with fleet graphics that need to evolve over time.

Is a vehicle wrap difficult to maintain?

Not necessarily, but how you clean it matters.

Maintenance is generally straightforward as long as you are careful about how the vehicle is cleaned. Proper care is also one of the factors that can affect how long the wrap lasts. GISI provides customers with wrap-care information after installation so they know how to protect their investment.

Do I need a finished design before contacting GISI

No. A good place to start is simply with the make, model, year and color of your vehicle, along with an idea of whether you’re considering decals, a partial wrap or a full wrap. From there, we can help develop the artwork with you.

Budget and timing are also helpful. Our team uses that information along with the vehicle specifications and your goals to recommend an approach.

What happens during a vehicle wrap project?

It starts with understanding what you want the vehicle to do for your business.

We research the make and model to understand the available space and material requirements, then work with you on the design. The creative team can develop a mockup so you can see what the graphics will look like on the actual vehicle before anything is produced.

Once approved, the design is broken into panels or sections at scale, printed at GISI and prepared for installation. The vehicle is then scheduled for installation, which can often be completed within one to two days.
